A land usage map of Southeast Alaska. There are actually thousands of islands that make up SE Alaska. In fact there are more miles of coast line in this region than in the whole contiguous United States.
Most cruise ship tours pass through Ketchikan, Juneau and Glacier Bay. Most of the small (70-100 passenger) vessels visit the Misty Fjord Nat. Monument's spectacular fjords carved by glaciers, near Ketchikan. Hundreds of waterfalls cascade thousands of feet down the precipitous mountain walls of the fjords. Brown bear, black bear, deer, Mountain goats, porpoise and seals are abundant in this area. Many of the lakes in this area have cabins available for rent from the US Forest Service. Because of the inaccessibility of these remote cabins it is necessary to charter a floatplane to get to them. |

It doesn't get much easier. If you can find your way around a shopping mall, downtown Ketchikan is about the same size or smaller
An article written in Travel magazine by a writer who actually visited our gallery, said The Dockside Gallery is a definite "must see".
We're anything but a tourist trap. You won't find any junk in our gallery, just lots of cool stuff and friendly people.
It's an experience you need to have. |
