9"x13" | lithograph Forrester Island is the southeastern-most island of Alaska's SE panhandle (i.e., the last rock between the West Coast and Hawaii). It's a National Wildlife Sanctuary and the nesting ground for a variety of coastal birds, including gulls, puffins, cormorants, auklets, and peregrine falcons to list a few. In this painting, I've depicted a pride of Steller's sealions sharing a rock at the north end of Forrester Island with some pelagic cormorants.
